HCTV Video Online!
Aug 25th
This is our first HCTV video on our website. Many of the residents in our viewing area have been asking for video content on the internet and we at HCTV have been working on this for a while.
There are limitations, we simply can not run a three hour Select Board meeting on the website, the file size would be huge! We are limited to programs less than one hour.
This, our first video online, is part of the Buffalo Times series produced by Nancy Schade with production services provided by the invaluable Kurt Bos. This video is in QuickTime, it’s 17 minutes long and is 38 MB in size.

Summer’s Here!

What to do with those extra daylight hours? Why not get involved with your community television station! That’s right, HCTV is right here on the top floor of the Memorial Building to train you on our equipment. For free! And once you know how to use our cameras, you can borrow them for free, too! It’s kind of like the library. You can sign them out when you want to shoot something.
HCTV loves to broadcast local events, people, and places. Whether it’s a walk through your garden, an interview with your grandmother, or the play your kids put on in the backyard, HCTV wants to put it on TV! So give the station a call to find out how to get started. 472-6655.

Summer Production Classes
May 17th
Our next Video Production Workshop begins in June! We will meet on Wednesdays June 2, 9, 16 and 23. Class time is 6:30 to 8 PM. The course will cover all aspects of Video Production from camera operation to basic editing. We will work toward producing videos that will be broadcast on HCTV.
Once you are trained on camera, you can check it out for daily use in a system similar to checking out a library book. No experience is necessary to participate in this workshop, but those with previous experience are also welcome. Classes are at the HCTV Station, Memorial Building, (top floor). After the course, you can continue to use HCTV’s free equipment to produce your own videos, or to work on HCTV’s regular programs such as Community and Cultural events, Select Board meetings and School Sports.
The station seeks ongoing involvement from community members.
Interested in video training but can’t make it to the June workshop sessions?
