We are now back on and broadcasting after having technical difficulties all weekend.
The Shepherd’s Play was performed by Heartbeet Lifesharing at St. Norbert’s church in Hardwick on December 19, 2013.
HCTV uses the free service Ustream to stream live and serve playback of the Hazen Basketball games and Select Board meetings.
Ustream is in the habit of updating to the latest Flash player without telling anybody.
If you do not see video picture, but are hearing the sound of an HCTV embedded video, it is most likely because the Flash payer in your computer is now out of date.
Unfortunately Flash also requires fairly new computers. It might not even be possible to update your Flash player if your computer or operating system is more than 4 or 5 years old. For example, HCTV’s own editing tower is the original computer from 2005 when the station first opened. It is now too ‘old’ to run the new Flash player and therefore we can’t see the video from Ustream on it – even though it works perfectly fine for everything else.
