Vermont Department of Fish & Wildlife’s Moose Project Leader Cedric Alexander presents at the Woodbury Community Library.

Project leader since 1991, Alexander has worked on several bird conservation projects over his career, and has been a member of the Department’s Big Game Management and State Lands teams since their inception. He shares a presentation on the history and current status of moose in Vermont, including the latest results from the department’s collared moose study.

Nelson Alvarez Febles, Puerto Rican agroecologist, food activist and author speaks about the many ongoing efforts to promote food sovereignty, small farms, and agroecology as important strategies for recovery and resilience in the face of climate disruptions such as Hurricanes Irma and Maria. Nelson serves on the Board of Cooperative Madre Tierra, Buffalo Mountain’s Sister Coop in San Juan.
