June, 2025 Director’s Blog
Hello and welcome to HCTV’s 1st ever Director’s Blog! I, Macy Molleur, the Executive Director of Hardwick Community Television, plan to share a monthly blog (a newsletter of sorts) to inform the community about the inner happening of HCTV. There has been a lot going on behind the scenes, and with a very small crew, it can be hard to share everything we are working on at the moment. So, please join our mailing list to read about what we are up to, and hopefully get more involved!
HCTV is Celebrating 20 Years!
Hardwick Community Television was incorporated in 2004, but started producing content in 2005, and it’s never too late to celebrate! I am collecting reflections on our best moments, and would love to receive more… I plan to make a film about our past 20 years. If you have a story about HCTV, or a favorite moment “caught on HCTV” please share it here! If you have been involved with the station, I would love to interview you about your experience. Please reach out to me at director@hctv.us!
HCTV Gains Greensboro!
After years in the works, Greensboro is now officially part of our service territory!
The HCTV Board of Directors is searching for a Greensboro resident to join the board and represent the town, so we can better understand how to provide our services there. Please reach out to director@hctv.us if you are interested.
J-Term “Intro to Filmmaking” Class
I got the privilege of teaching a J-Term class at Hazen during the first few weeks of June. I introduced the elements of short-film creation from concept to final product. The students were able to get their hands on some professional equipment, and show off their short films to classmates and staff at the J-Term exposition.
Although we do not have any public training sessions on the calendar yet this summer, if you would like a private training session, reach out director@hctv.us! If there is enough community interest, we can hold more public trainings…

Event Coverage
For 20 years, we have provided free event coverage and archiving. We would like to continue to cover local events without having to charge any fees. However, as our funding is slowly declining, our costs are only increasing. So, we have decided to give a suggested donation guide for our event coverage. We understand that not everyone can afford to donate, but anything helps!
